Oh my God.. the scooters.
I drive uber in Fayetteville Arkansas (woo pig) and these things are scattered everywhere.
We had the Walmart public bikes too. That program lasted literally a week before they were all gone. I sometimes see them behind houses or piled up in the homeless camps.
They have to be losing money on these scooters. They only reason I think they are still in business is because they are subsidized.
For example in SF they get free chunks of parking set aside just for them
on the street. Free! value in the several thousands. Myself I pay to park my personal car but Lyme etc get to run a business on public streets for free.
If they had to have storefronts and parking lots of their own they would not be around.
