Thomas Binger, lead attorney in the floundering prosecution against Kyle Rittenhouse, during closing arguments Monday aimed an AR-15 at people in the courtroom with his finger on the trigger.
“That is what provokes this entire incident,” Binger told jurors at some point during his gun-waving close. “When the defendant provokes this incident, he loses the right to self-defense. You cannot claim self-defense against a danger you create.”
No, dumbass, foolhardy idiots waving around weapons without trigger discipline is how you get innocent people killed on accident.
It was just a few weeks ago that Alec Baldwin killed a woman doing almost the exact same thing with a weapon he didn’t know (because he didn’t check) was loaded.

A more idiotic statement I've never seen.
Sigh.
Here's a clue: The dangerous part is the muzzle, where the bullets come flying out at 2500+ fps, regardless of how many or what kind of "sights" are on it. Even a "I-have-never-shot-a-gun-before" person can point that by simple instinct, or by careless neglect, and destroy, maim, and/or kill.
Another dangerously stupid Democrat. 😮
I was in a court case where the prosecutor pointed a pistol at the defendant. I don’t know how that was allowed. The defendant had a lousy attorney.
Then the defense atty should have embarrassed the gun-waving jerk by accusing him of sensationalism and theatrics.
As if I needed another reason to hate this shyster bastard.
Garland will probably now hire him for an Assistant AG, despite his legal incompetence.
This asshole broke all four rules of firearms safety. The most obvious one sweeping the crowd with a weapon. The bailiff should have shot him for threatening to shoot someone by pointing a weapon at people.
Good question.
He finally convinced the last juror to vote not guilty.
What an idiot....unless that’s his goal.
Of course firearms are brought into courts all of the time. And of course they are checked by court security. No one is arguing about the presence of the rifle in court and I don’t think anyone is upset with the prosecutor picking up the rifle. But pointing it at the jury with his finger on the trigger? That is beyond the pale. No one with any firearms training would do such a thing.
If someone points a rifle at me, there will be hyperventilating.
Dumbass doesn’t even know that rifle doesn’t even have a sight on it.
Bailiff arrest that man for brandish a weapon.
To complete the lesson for the jury, someone who he pointed the weapon at should have shot him and claimed self defense.
A good teaching moment lost.
The ahole should be arrested!
At the least he should be censored. Just reminds me of an Alec Baldwin/Mike Nyfong.
Maybe that is the reaction the prosecution is looking for so he can put the jury in the frame of mind of the person Attacking Kyle. Terrible manipulation of the jury. He’s desperate.
Honestly, if this jack-wagon would have pointed that at me, and I was anywhere near; I would have gone postal on him. Seriously. Anyone that points a real gun at me is under threat of death.
His face wouldn’t like it too much if that gun were to go off.
I gotcha. Perhaps these unscrupulous persecutors wish to suggest that Kyle was recklessly using a rifle incapable of being aimed accurately?
I wouldn’t put it past these bastids.
Then you would have a mistrial and the whole circus performance over again.
