Congress is facing a legislative pileup as it barrels toward the end of the year with a lengthy to-do list.
The House and Senate return Monday and are scheduled to be in session for roughly two weeks before the end of 2021, setting up a legislative squeeze that is threatening to drive lawmaking deeper into the holiday season.
Democrats, facing increasingly sharp headwinds... have to juggle their party's political ambitions with must-pass bills that threaten to eat up shrinking floor time.

and here we go again, trying to make sure that none of the above are accomplished in the next 4 weeks. Happy Holidays!
the usual cluster ****, ignore them an vote them out.
“Pile up”?
Let it Blow UP, in their face.
It’s not above them to ram crap through on Christmas Eve, if that’s what it takes
I see a Christmas Eve vote in the works.
Why do I hear that voice in my brain, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”? What is worse is that our REPRESENTATIVES and SENATORS will not have read these bills as they are written by DC-Swamp lobbyists and staffers.
Note that the Democrats, upon starting their tax bill in the House Ways and Means Committee on 13 September, have marked that date as the start of their revised taxation (retroactive) if/when passed before midnight of 31 December 2021. As a professional tax preparer, I HATE such idiocies as it means delays while the IRS changes the tax code to match and then the tax software has to be changed after that! UGLY!
