As I mentioned on a different post today, I definitely could see Chris Christie aligning with the Cheney’s for the purpose of securing the nomination or mostly of keeping Trump from winning another term.
Both appear to be energized by how Trump’s rise to the presidency affected them.
Chris Christie remains angry that he wasn’t seriously considered for VP or at very least for Atty. General.
Liz is defending her father’s legacy, which she says Trump has unjustly criticized.
Liz is like Meghan McCain, but less photogenic more ambitious and far more ruthless than Ms McCain ever had to be.
If Christie is foolish enough to start ‘Palling around with’ the Cheney’s, they will take advantage of his need for constant attention and approval. They will let him take the biggest risks, then either disown him or discard him the moment he is no longer useful. He will be dropped like the proverbial Hot Potato.
If any Liz joined effort occurs, will be trying to control Christie. “Chris, did you hear what Donald Trump just said about you on Fox News? Well, are you gonna let him get away with it? Just like that?”

I think Liz would be far more motivated by the goal of splitting the vote so Trump could not easily win vs the goal of becoming president herself. She would enter as A Spoiler.
She might even say it out loud, so any #NeverTrumps can hear her. Ralph Nader used to drive democrats bonkers in that role some 30 years ago.
