NBC News senior business correspondent and MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle said Sunday on “Today” that the “dirty little secret” about soaring inflation was, on average, people have the money to pay more for goods.

People vote their pocketbook. Dem policies are a disaster. Hope they wake up.
Maybe this year, but what about the out years, genius?
Democrats are always a disaster
Let’s Go Brandon!
This hack was the commences speaker at my daughter’s graduation from Lehigh University in 2017. She droned on about herself for 30 minutes as graduates and parents sat in the rain. All she did was whine about how tough she had it when she went there because she was a girl. She was pathetic
I bet if this idiot were out of a job and had to live on a very low budget vs what she is making now, she would be singing a different tune.
"...people have the money to pay more for goods..."
But I have it on good authority that they also definitely tend to buy fewer of them.
Shocking, I know, but it is true.
Believe it!
New data from GOBankingRates, however, reveals that 69% of Americans have less than $1,000 in savings. That means they’re clearly nowhere close to having a complete emergency fund, and they’re taking a very big chance with their finances. Worse yet, 45% of Americans say they have $0 in savings.
Your Lehigh graduation example shows just how useless universities have become these days.
At my graduation (many decades ago) the speaker was Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
He had some real suffering to discuss.
This bimbo is no Solzhenitsyn!
Yes, Stephanie, and those selling goods and services don’t want to miss out so they raise their prices to soak up all of that new money.
The people who clean my toilets enjoy their work.
They would do it for nothing but I pay them something anyway.
Perhaps— but if it doesn’t mean they will, or want to. They will buy less.
Thanks to Bidens virus, my ss check is going to be $22 less than it was
The cost of rent/housing, college and healthcare have all skyrocketed over the last few decades and everything is ok, only superliberal Bernie Sanders types bring it up
But gas goes up and everyone is freaking out about inflation
The inflation has a positive feedback built into itself. That’s why it often runs away as it is hard to stop.
If there is an inflation, people rush to buy ANYTHING, just to get rid of the money, before it become worthless. As stuff disappears from the shelves, the prices go up accordingly, then the people buy more stuff etc. It just runs away. The only way to stop it is to orchestrate depression by rising interest rates and stripping people of the money.
I am not sure, if we have crossed the runaway threshold already, but with Biden in charge, it will be crossed.
I graduated last century and NEVER had anyone tell me physics, math, or comp sci was tooooo hard for girls. I never heard it in high school. Methinks it is an excuse for people who didn’t want to work that hard.
naaaa they are forced to eat cat food! what are you talking about!
oh wait... a democrat is president! umm.. yeah.. its a secret that people can afford more! *cough*
