China’s economy is on shakey legs and their population is shrinking. I believe a lot of the rhetoric coming from Xi is covering up how precarious they actually are.

Right. Over the last 30 years the USA foolishly exported 50,000 wealth creating factories to China. So whose economy is shaky in the long term?

I think you're right but that doesn't make the situation any less dangerous.
