The Department of Defense will respond "appropriately" to a decision this week by the Oklahoma National Guard to rescind the Pentagon's requirement for service members to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Driving the news: "We are aware of the memo issued by the Oklahoma Adjutant General regarding COVID vaccination for Guardsmen and the governor’s letter requesting exemption. We will respond to the governor appropriately," Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told Axios in a statement.

"That said, Secretary Austin believes that a vaccinated force is a more ready force. That is why he has ordered mandatory vaccines for the total force, and that includes our National Guard, who contribute significantly to national missions at home and abroad," Kirby added.

State of play: The Pentagon's statement comes after Brig. Gen. Thomas Mancino, who now oversees the Oklahoma National Guard, "rescinded" the requirement.

Hope the AG holds his position and others follow suit. This experiment in mass propaganda and lawlessness must end if we are to survive as a free nation.

It may take a bit of time to move the units in Fort Hood and Colorado to the border for the invasion. But one of the real difficulties is getting far flung FBI assets joined and trained as liquidation groups for use during and after the occupation of Oklahoma.

Pretty soon the pentagon will be down to an army of one, except it will ne a female admiral with a unit throwing a hissy fit over a missed nail appointment.

That is what the liquidation groups are for.

You know d*** well they are thinking of that. These controllers do not even recognize that there is a right and a wrong.

As a check against tyranny, a state’s Guard should be completely controlled by the state’s governor except in time of declared war. Pity that this is not the case.

I don’t believe the letter to SECDEF said anything about “request for exception”. I think it stated the OK NG will not be required to be vaccinated. The only legal way for the Woke Pentagon to require this vaccination (Read: genetic manipulation/therapy) is to “Federalize” the OK NG - Order them to Active Duty and I believe the so called CINC at the White House must issue that order to be carried out. Of course it appears the Chairmen of the JS has usurped that authority from the CINC or at least he thinks so. But then again, who knows who is in charge these days.

The government just does whatever it wants anymore.
This is a purposeful, in your face, “what are you going to do?” moment.

The Dick Act of 1903 basically ended State Militia sovereignty:

In return, the federal government gained greater control over the National Guard. The President of the United States was empowered to call up the National Guard for up to nine months to repel invasion, suppress rebellion, or enforce federal laws. Guardsmen had to answer a presidential call or face court-martial. States had to organize, equip, and train their units in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Regular Army. If Guard units failed to meet Army standards, they would lose federal recognition and federal funding

“What are they going to do fire/terminate the whole state guard unit?”

No, but they can cut all federal funding for pay, training, and equipment.

Which the Biden/Austin communists will do. You saw it here first.

They’ll just Federalize the Guard and then mandate it.

Probably make an example out of a few key objectors.
Or, maybe their family members or close associates.
Isn’t that mostly how the fascist authoritarian left operate?
