The FBI had always done what is expedient for the FBI. If it’s fighting commies or fighting patriots, they’ll do what they think it’s in their institutional best interest.
Supporting and defending the Constitution is not a consideration.

You can say that about any government agency, organization or corporation. They’re all entities who are driven by self-preservation and power.
It’s the nature of the beast.
Because congress has delegated most of its power to these unelected, and, once created, permanent bureacracies, we are no longer a constitution representative democracy state, but mostly an administrative state.
