That depends - percentages don't necessarily add linearly. If you get a 5% raise on your $100M income, and your $10M yearly mortgage goes up 50%, then 5% is equal to 50%. You break even, you don't lose 45% there.

So I don't know the absolute amounts these are based off of, but a 14% increase in premiums, and a 6% increase in bigger pay, could possibly even out. But yes, I do agree that a 14% increase in premium is extremely ridiculous.
