Connecticut now?? Why do people stand by and not try to tackle these thieves?

Oxford is a pleasant small town, with a touchy zoning department. I think people were so flabbergasted they didn't know how to act.

Honestly, there’s a less than 100 percent chance the police would have showed up in time anyway.

NO ONE could write down a license number????
To: ChicagoConservative27
I personally would not attempt to stop it. Why? To get prosecuted?

They would probably be arrested and sued. The govt protects criminals.

Everyone in the store should have loaded up and walked out.
That’s what will put a stop to “it”.

As hard as it is to say out loud because it doesn’t seem right, your life is not worth the grocery store’s stuff. I used to work in asset protection.

From the looks of it — the video wasn’t entirely clear — the license plates were covered or missing. Looked like they stole a lot of laundry detergent. That stuff is routinely peddled at flea markets and other non-regulated markets.

The Russians and Chinese are laughing at us.
In their countries, these scum would have been caught and, if they were lucky, put on the rockpile. If they were unlucky, they would have been executed.

Tackle them? Are you series? (1) Could get stabbed or shot or run over. (2) Could get arrested for assault yourself

They removed their license plates before driving up to the store. I find the whole thing confusing... they mostly took liquid laundry detergent.

Also, the sleazier owners of small independent markets and qwik-e-marts will buy obviously stolen goods to stock their own shelves.

Why do people stand by and not try to tackle these thieves? Because if they hurt the thieves in the process they will be arrested, charged with a felony, go to prison, and be raped.

Laundry detergent is often used as currency in the ghetto.
Waterbury (a truly awful place) is a short drive down the Interstate.
