It’s all a ruse. The FBI is trying to reclaim some credibility. The public knows they were a willing participant and believe that by pointing the finger and yelling liar; it will all be forgotten.
We will see what kind of punishment is handed out and compare it to what they are doing to the Jan 6 protesters.
