Just remember this: Unless someone stops and properly undoes the efforts of the prosecutors and judges who are pushing a costumed moron to get four years in federal prison for trespassing and disturbing the peace in fancy dress, every one of them is going to be emboldened to imprison more protestors for lesser crimes the next time they get a chance, and they’ll be further along in their careers and in even more senior roles.
Nobody stopped Fauci in the 1980s when his strategy for addressing the AIDS epidemic was proving futile and dangerous, he kept pressing the same playbook over and over, each time from a spot just a little higher on the food chain and with more people reporting to him and parroting his flawed beliefs because he’s the boss. In government you never have to admit to a failed strategy, you only have to avoid blame long enough to increase your authority and try again harder.

You make a great point in your post to me. This sentence struck me as significant among your message.
RE: Fauci etal, there is misjustice, yes. We have a very flawed system with which to battle. Re: this clown in an antler hat, he simply should have known better.
Again, the Portland rioters got off with handslaps. There is no justice in that.
There is very little justice in our system right now. Period.
