A video sharing a German-speaking ad to help feed hungry Americans has gone viral since it was uploaded to social media.
TikTok user @teresamorcho uploaded the video onto the social media platform last week with the reply caption: "Germany is actually doing videos to help feed America."
"I thought this was a joke. I honestly thought someone was trolling me, but they're not. I had to go and do my own research and I found the video. Brace yourself."
The video then cuts to a German-speaking ad that opens with a girl sitting on steps outside a house as a voiceover says she "lives with little access to nutritious food."
"Her poor diet could lead to diabetes, heart disease, and a costly dependency on the government. 49 million Americans are struggling with food insecurity," the voiceover continues.
As the ad plays out, a woman sits next to the child and says: "They are hungry for more than a meal. Hungry for change. America needs Germany's help, now."

But, while the ad included a plea for Germans to help feed Americans and was in the German language, it was in fact paid for by the U.S.-based campaign Great Nations Eat.
Germany for America" was one of three ads run by the group, which aimed to promote awareness on the number of Americans who struggle to eat a nutritious diet.
First broadcast in 2015, the ads shared a message of ending food hunger in the U.S. Other videos included voiceovers in Mandarin Chinese and Slovenian as well...

To dispel a deflection on this, it doesn’t matter if the ad originated in the U.S. as things are apparently this bad under Brandon they are airing in Germany.
Secondly, funny how the ad originated when Obama was president and now is in full swing when another Dem is president. I guess Dems aren’t good at dealing with these sort of things.

When Reagan was president the media would harp on things like this 24/7, but even though these issues exist during every presidency, when a Dem is president the media is largely silent on homelessness, etc.

It’s a bad time though for them to air this when Biden has a tanking economy under his watch, rising inflation, people being forced to quit their jobs due to mandates, etc.

Why are we trying to pick Germany’s pocket when we have billions of dollars here budgeted for food distribution?
Germany already has her hands full trying to deal with the Muslim invasion from Turkey and beyond.

There are public-service radio ads that talk about the ‘millions’ of hungry children in America. Things like ‘Grandma says we can’t have lunch today since we’re out of food’ or ‘I miss going to school in the summer because I get to eat there’.
This is in a nation that begs the poor to sign up for what used to be called ‘food stamps’, that has most schools providing free breakfasts and lunches for student during the school year and free lunches for anyone under 18 during summer vacations. Some schools send kids home on the weekends with ‘backpacks’ of food so they don’t go hungry.
I don’t want kids to go hungry, but shouldn’t the responsibility of parenthood include feeding your own kids?

My wife teaches, and there are a lot of kids whose parent blows the money on something and doesn’t buy food.

My wife kept packages of Nekots and other snacks to send home with kids because their parents had better things to do than feeding their kids.
Maybe this is the answer to the childhood obesity epidemic.

The EBT and free school food is more than enough to keep any American kids from being hungry, yet some still are. What is being done, except giving away more money to people who are obviously irresponsible and willing to neglect their kids for their own lifestyle choices.
I realize it is not the kids’ fault, but short of putting them in foster care, what can be done?
The choices are to let the kids go hungry, is is a political nightmare, or accept the fraud.
Some of these families are into the fourth generation of welfare. Some more. They will not work, and having tried to employ a few they can not.
It is like the situation with the open drug scene in major cities. Politically, the only choice is to let it get worse.
This is not about feeding anybody. It’s about diminishing our image internationally.
In our city of about 40,000 food distributions takes place at the Salvation Army Tuesdays and Thursday, 10:00am-12:00pm, and at another church location Mondays, 3pm, and another church location Hot Breakfast: Mon-Fri 9:00am - 10:00am; Hot Lunch: Mon-Fri 12:00pm-1:00 pm; Food Pantry: Fridays, 8.30am, then there is the senior center and veterans pantry. And there maybe more as there was. A few months ago I counted 72 meals one might get by hitting different pantries. Plenty of food, mostly at taxpayer expense, but thank God we still have more than enough. Americans (73% overweight) are not starving. .
