Allowing Kyle to take the stand is the ultimate indicator of the strength of the Defense’s case. No way would the accused normally be allowed by his counsel to testify as the prosecutor will be relentless in trying to fluster the defendant and catch him in some sort of lie. Kyle is a very sympathetic person and they must hope actually hearing his side of the story directly from him will give the jury the courage to withstand the pressure they are under to convict.
I don't understand that move at all.
