Sociopathic aggression can easily progress into physical violence, given the right circumstances. If the sociopathic aggressor has acted with relative impunity over time, what’s to interrupt the progression into actual physical violence? Words are not violence to the body, it’s true, but they can easily do violence to the soul. Some things, when said to another, can justifiably be described as attempted murder on the soul. One wonders if Alec Baldwin has confessed and repented from the well-known act of verbal soul-murder he committed upon his daughter. If not, and if he has continued to act in this way, then who knows what he has become capable of in terms of eventually committing serious physical violence against another with a deadly weapon.
