Agree with President Trump. The whole thing is fishy.

It seems unlikely he shot her on purpose. He would have had to deliberately load the gun, which incidentally would make it first degree murder. That doesn’t make sense.

It is also hard to believe that someone would fire what he thought were blanks at someone or do that repeatedly. How reckless can you get? Plus you could get shot or stabbed by someone who thought it was a real bullet, and that would be self defense.

Even if Baldwin did not deliberately fire it at someone, it has to be reckless. If there was some better story than his practicing draws, it presumably would have been brought out by Baldwin and his flunkies. In addition to not checking the weapon, it is hard for him kill one person and hit another without at least further negligence.

I would not blame Baldwin or the armorer primarily for the ridiculous weapons handling procedures. I am not sure that Baldwin was really running things despite being one of the “Producers”. It is obvious that they did not want to bother with a real armorer or follow standard procedures. Baldwin obviously knows a lot about guns, but some of the Hollywood types probably do not, and were trying to cut corners while paying themselves big.

This does not justify anything, and I do not know as much about this sort of thing as some of you all, but they use dummy bullets on sets. These are designed to look like real bullets to movie viewers. Presumably, they are somewhat harder to tell from real bullets than blanks are.
