The interview of John Ratcliffe by Maria B this morning was pretty revealing. Ratcliffe is not a hyperbolic bomb-thrower. He is a former federal prosecutor who is generally very careful with his words.
Other than John Durham, Ratcliffe knows more than anyone else about the Russian Collusion Delusion. He declassified many documents for Durham and provided many more that remain classified. Ratcliffe is still confident that many more people will be indicted.
I am skeptical (like all of us) that people at the top would be held accountable, but Ratcliffe has never backed off his belief that there will be lots of indictments.
Part of me wonders if some of these indictments will be for using contractor access to the NSA database for partisan political purposes (and profit). Those allegations have been out there for a long time but they kind of faded away without any answers.
I’ve been assuming that they’ll drag things out long enough that the statutory limitations will mean no prosecutions. I just hope there’s enough evidence revealed for Page & others (including Trump) to sue in civil court. These people need to pay, one way or another.
They seriously say everything is classified. Even their lunch orders. Ridiculous.
