I believe you are correct but I do not expect this court to uphold freedom.
My guess is they will duck it if they can.
Most of the District Appeal Courts will join. All the others will try to fight it.

Yeah, SCOTUS will let the appeal courts deal with it until COVID becomes negligible and the pill alternative more attractive, so the vaccine mandate will be pulled by Biden before SCOTUS actually has to rule.

I suspect the USSC will decline to stay the 5th circuit appeals court injunction. That makes the injunction permanent unless the 5th rescinds it itself after hearings on the merits, (undoubtful), and there is a good possibility that the 5th will make it a nationwide injunction after the hearings.
If the DOJ/Brandon loses at the USSC on an appeal or writ of cert then the rule will be forever stayed opening the road for cases against states and corps following the rule.
