So they now have a jungle primary in Washington as well?

They have for several years. The top 2 finishers in the primary, regardless of party, advance to the general election. California does the same thing. Louisiana does too, with the modification that if a candidate gets a majority in the “primary”, they are elected and there is no runoff.

CA and WA don’t have that provision, and the lack of it worked very well in the “ballot harvesting” year of 2018 in California, where a few Republicans DID get over 50% in the jungle primary, and led on election night in November, only to get harvested out of their rightful wins. Not granting the primary winner an automatic seat in Congress gives the Democrats a second chance to fraud up a close election.
