We know that the human trafficking of children is taking place at out southern border.
When children come across our border in the company of adults that do not have papers it is US law that the children are separated from the adults until the children’s identity and who the children belong to can be determined.
The word of the children is of course insufficient. Children can easily be coerced to lie.
After the word got out that adults claiming political asylum with dependent children had preference in staying in the US the numbers of children coming across the border with adults skyrocketed.
It was soon discovered that children were being purchased by unrelated adults for the very purpose of gaining entry to the US. The children would then be sold again to coyotes or to human traffickers
I you want to keep your children, stay in your own country or come to the US in accordance with US law.

First, children don’t belong in prison with the adult criminal parents. The migrants are being detained, arrested, jailed, for good reason, they are breaking US laws. No one can walk across the border into Canada, or a European country, or Sweden, or Russia and hang out there without eventually being arrested. If you bring children with you on this crime spree, they have to be protected from their criminal parent(s).
Further, if you are an American citizen who is arrested and jailed, for manslaughter, drug dealing, assault, larceny, and you have a child (who has no other guardian), the child will be removed from your custody and put in Child Protective Services while you are in jail. BUT
YOU DON’T GET $450,000 FOR BREAKING THE LAW!!!!
