Nothing Reagan did has survived. He, as is Trump, was a recovering liberal Democrat. It does matter who gets credit because they people need to know who to support and who are their leaders.

Reagan actually said, “There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don't care who gets the credit.”
This is a universal truth that came to mind immediately when I saw the headline for this thread. These days it takes only a moment to look up these quotes and not make slightly off kilter characterizations that are not nearly as good as the genuine article.
CodeToad, what Reagan did and said has not only survived... it forms a foundation of so much of what is still keeping our country going despite the awful actions of so many on the left.
