hina's senior climate negotiator said Tuesday his nation has good reason for being the world's biggest fossil-fuel emitter of pollution, according to the Associated Press.

Speaking to reporters at the U.N. climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland, Xie Zhenhua explained why China is so reliant on fossil fuels and also criticized former President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate accord...

... Xie discussed China's efforts to address climate change. "Regarding the fact that China is the current largest emitter, it's because China is at a special development stage," he said...

what China leaves out is, the US had met our goals and exceeded the Paris Accord standards by 2018 so it was ok to back off a bit. Here's a Caroline Downey article from 2018 that says so

False! The US cut its emissions more than any other country under President Trump. Gas is cleaner than coal and we had plenty of cheap natural gas thanks to fracking. We switched many of our power plants over at minimal cost.

The Gaia Worshipers then whined that we didn’t cut our emissions “the right way”. LOL!
