The country's Ministry of Commerce late Monday issued a notice directing local governments to encourage people to stockpile "daily necessities," including vegetables, oils and poultry, in order to "meet the needs of daily life and emergencies."
The agency also urged local authorities to make sure that people have an "adequate supply" of essentials this winter into next spring.
China has stressed the importance of shoring up food and other daily supplies in the past — including in September, ahead of a major weeklong holiday period. But those statements are usually very obviously intended for local authorities to read, and rarely capture the attention of everyday citizens. The inclusion of language in this statement that mentions families, though, appears to be putting people on edge.

I was able to finally find Hoppe’s 9 in stock at Walmart this week
The closest one to me had no canned soup, no canned vegetables, no fresh (wrapped) bread (other than bakery, oddly enough), no beef, no chicken, almost no pork, etc. for weeks and weeks.
They have the Winter Olympics early next year. After that all bets are off with Taiwan.
I saw the same thing you would think that after seeing that people would remember, but it don’t appear so.
I was taking pictures of it, too. Except for an odd item here and there, completely stripped bare.
Having prepped for years somebody said, I guess he was right. It was an insurance policy of a rotating stock of supplies. I had warned how quickly the shelves would be stripped.
Because so few prepare; despite all we’ve seen so far. Prepare in abundant times; like Joseph; having been warned by God.
I watched a YouTube video last week they showed how 94% of the population of China live east of a certain line. Between Tibet and the two western deserts much of China is not really habitable. So, if you have a large area of the country that has flooded(like this year) it effects the overall crop production much more than the USA. Hence, their purchase of pork companies in the USA.
China could have major problems feeding their people again very soon. They really need to eliminate a 30-50 million hungry MEN. Now how could they do that?
Normalcy bias; denial of the seismic shifts taking place.
Did you buy a gallon?
A buddy of mine bought himself an AR and a Glock 9mm. He also bought himself a complete RCBS reloading kit and wants me to help him learn.
I told him all he needs now is primers, bullets, and powder. Once he’s got those I’ll be happy to get him going.
I think it will be a while….

1.4 billion people hitting the stores all at once. What could possibly go wrong, other than to deplete supplies to the rest of the planet?
Most of that farm land is corporate controlled, and not growing people food.
Our food supply is in the hands of a few companies, some of who move food to China for packaging and processing.
“Last I heard, there were a billion screaming Chinamen.”
Seems we just got advanced warning from Chinese commies when they're going to be putting the screws to us...Christmas to spring time...
The harvest might be 'in' up north but Florida's growing season is just picking up. Besides the problem isn't so much the 'harvest' as getting the harvest to grocery stores.

There are a ton of small farms in my rural area and none are corporate owned.
The “Farm to Home” small operation are growing like crazy (no pun intended). these operations bypass the middleman wholesalers and food stores and sell directly to the local people.
We have local farms who have not plowed a field in 15 years plowing up land and growing crops once again.
Farmers markets are really taking off.
In a county next to mine they just built large pavilion-about 2 football fields large where farmers can bring in their crops 3 days per week and sell directly to the people. . It is packed.
We will be ok.
And when the shortages happen they’ll accuse people of hoarding.🙄
