On the eve of the country's most highly anticipated election since the 2020 race for president, mainstream networks ABC, CBS and NBC avoided mentioning Virginia's gubernatorial showdown in their Monday night newscasts.

According to Grabien transcripts, and first reported by NewsBusters, each of the networks ignored covering the tight race between former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Republican businessman Glenn Youngkin, opting instead to focus on topics that didn't spotlight electoral challenges for Democrats

ABC spent the largest portion of its coverage on climate change, focusing at one point on Queen Elizabeth's call to action to address the issue. CBS spent a large chunk of time covering former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin's new book, while NBC spent nearly two minutes talking about a food truck in Austin, Texas.

Perhaps they already know that the Republican will be able to overcome the 5 point fraud factor today.

That’s a positive sign, but I refuse to get my hopes up. It’s still within the margin of cheat.

That tells my they know what’s gonna happen and they’re trying to black it out as best they can.

Mcauliff is toast

Yea, I think CBS Mornings led off with a Climate Change Story, then they had a story on climate change, and then something about White racism. But that could be any day as that’s all they report on.

Yeah I think if they knew the fix was in they couldn’t resist gloating early.

Having said that, they will cheat in any way possible and don’t really care anymore who knows it.

So if by some miracle Youngkin wins, the MSM will put it all in the memory hole.

If McAuliffe wins, it’ll be the biggest sensation in history.

RE: Covered climate change and white racism.

Yeah, that’s “all the news that fits”....their narrative.

If he wins and the GOP doesn't blow it as usual, we may have awoken the sleeping soccer Moms and perhaps school reform changes can be made. That would be a huge positive in these days of Brandon doldrums, inflation and open borders.

but GMA3 (the 3rd hour) gave a nice kiss to Mcauliffe yesterday. Nothing for Youngkin of course. I suspect Georgy Stephanapoulous orchestrated this for his best bud Terry. Terry was chair of the DNC while Georgey ran WH ops.

Yes, it may send one hell of a huge message to Ds nationwide, but Youngkin will face a state with judges, bureaucracies, departments, ALL run by Ds. Not to mention the slander and libel to come.

I wish him well. He’d be wise to take some lessons from DeSantis.

He needs to win over the hearts and minds of the people, then stomp on the recalcitrant Dems.

Why are the major news networks ignoring the Virginia governor’s race? Is it because their guy is not doing so well?
