I don’t know if Pence was ever a good man, but putting him in there as Trump’s #2 was the end of his career. No one cares about Pence - not Trump supporters, Republicans or Democrats, or the Hill.

Democrats, the Hill and some Republicans only care about him to the extent that they can use him to attack Trump and his supporters.
Pence was always a Bush League Republican, part of the GOP House leadership of Boehner, Ryan, Cantor and McCarthy that have spent their careers keeping the borders open and the laws unenforced to import a permanent Democrat majority.
