The Taliban has shown its support for anti-climate change efforts, calling for international aid to help complete environmental projects in Afghanistan.
Citing a need to protect the country’s ‘fragile climate’, Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said ‘tremendous work’ was needed to help Afghanistan become greener.
Mr Shaheen said: ‘Afghanistan has a fragile climate. There is need for tremendous work.’
Relief agencies have warned that a drought in Afghanistan, which UN scientists say has been worsened by climate change, could force 22 million into 'acute food insecurity'.
Writing on Twitter, he said: ‘The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to providing security and a safe environment for the work of NGOs and charity organisations.’

What they think of as ‘climate change’ might not be a completely western defn. Perhaps it’s more along the lines of wiping the infidel off the face of the planet.

Now all the idiots in Western countries are going to love the taliban, praise it and give it as much money as it wants. If only the taliban would give universal healthcare! Then it would be admitted into the UN and given a place of honor!
They probably watched how we ended up as business partners of the Hanoi government and figured why not give it a try? Or maybe they saw US news where poverty in underdeveloped countries is caused by global warming, and wanted to do their part to help (/s)
