The judge in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, who fatally shot two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, made headlines last week by reiterating his longstanding rule of not allowing prosecutors to refer to people as "victims" before juries in his courtroom.

Until the commission of a crime has been proven, there can be no victims.

This is very common and in some places it is actual law in sex offense cased.

And the only problem with that is that it should be that way across the board with ALL crimes.

There ARE cases where a crime was obviously committed and needed nit be established per say(child abduction and murder, i.e.) where it’s appropriate to refer to them as victims.
Then it’s solely about who committed the crime. Jmo
