You are correct. Guys in OK that have wells are saying that they shut off some of those wells and they lose pressure. So they cant.
Yet, the word is that the government is about to try and force them to shut them down.
See last weeks news about the government to further regulate the gas and oil industry.

“I guess I’ll hang on to my energy and pipeline stocks.”

Last 2-3 years never heard anything about our gas royalties.

The last few months we have been getting 4-5 letters a week asking if we want to sell our royalties or sign a lease deal.

That mean they will be pumping on our grid soon.

Can’t wait. If it happens I will officialy retire.

Anything over 4.00 will tank the economy and even the democrats don’t want that to happen.

Yes, I get those letters too. My monthly checks totaled around $200 a few month back. Now they are to $700, which more than pays for my gas, thank goodness.

People don’t understand that energy companies invested billions in govt leases getting them ready for production and Biden closed those areas, wasting all that money. We are more screwed than people realize.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/news/how-much-do-californians-pay-in-taxes-and-fees-on-each-gallon-of-gas/ar-AAMd2Es

Federal excise tax – 18.4 cents per gallon (cpg)

California state excise tax – 51.1 cpg, some of which is used for roads, freeways and bridges

Sales tax – It varies by area. The average is 12.7 cpg

Underground storage tank fee – 2 cpg

Fuels under the cap – 15.1 cpg This program works to control greenhouse gases.

Low carbon fuel standard - 22.6 cpg This program is designed to reduce carbon intensity in transportation fuels.

Does California pay the highest in gas taxes and fees?

Yes.

Noda says the nationwide average for fees and taxes is 65 cents less compared to California.

“The U.S. average for fees and taxes is about 56.5 cents and we’re at $1.21.”

Do other factors play a role in California’s high gas prices?

Yes.

Among them: California has a special grade of gasoline, and 10% of it is ethanol, which costs more money to transport.

There’s also the higher cost of doing business here.

“A lot of that has to do with the real estate costs. Service stations need a higher margin to cover those costs,” said Noda.

He believes taxes and fees will continue to rise as a result of California’s environmental programs becoming more stringent.

The problem is that every time Trump promised to do something good for America, the rats and the media purposely sabotage it.

Yup. What amazes me more is that some around here constantly whine, "Why didn't he do THIS? Why didn't he do THAT?"

Err, maybe because he had the ENTIRE FREAKING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT against him?

We are already producing what is possible under Biden and it isn’t nearly enough.

I don't think so. There were lots of producers who went bust during the Covid lockdowns and it takes a while to get all those rigs producing again.

Having said that, $80 oil is a pretty good incentive to speed up the process.

It’ll never get that high. Even Rush had a segment on this. There’ll be so many producers rushing to get in that the price will naturally decline again.

Not if the producers are blocked from doing so by the government..

That why it was low under Trump and high under Biden

Trump removed the government road blocks and the market worked.. the producers rushed in lowering the price and making the US a surplus producers of energy.. first time I think in 40 years

Biden got in and blocked everthing.. crushing the free market.. and making us dependent on Biden n sons buddy’s at outrageous prices...

Your talking free markets forces allow to solve a problem.. but it can’t when you have a corrupt command and control Communism government killing it

I don’t think the president can do much about gas prices besides raise/lower the taxes on it

And the idea that we went from “energy independent” during Trump to not being in 9 months of Biden doesn’t make sense, things don’t shift that fast

Nothing Trump says is pie in the sky or campaign rhetoric

******,******************************

‘The vaccines are good. Everyone should take them. The only reason people don’t want them is because of not trusting Biden. The reason the Southwest pilots are boycotting is because of the election fraud’

These are things I have either heard Trump say or read direct quotes. I don’t mean to be a pain in the rear end but gas prices are going to be a very minor issue relative to the vaccines and what they’re being used for. And if Trump wants to lead us again he better get some facts and let go of his pride for his operation warp speed debacle.

Yup. The overwhelming populace of this country are CLUELESS except when it comes to food and gasoline prices, both of which are not calculated in the inflation numbers.

After China invades Taiwan, people will say, “How did this happen?”
