Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
Psalm 130:7 & 8

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Howdy, Kathy.
Did you get a good, long night’s rest?
How many ducks are showing up for supper these days? :-)

A good day at the museum? Tired feetsies?
High winds here...I hate this weather! Lots of swaying trees.

Not a bad night...had to get up from a nice warm lounger for a hair cut appointment.
The mark must be back on my roof...easily a hundred ducks for dinner last night. And they are starting to line up now.

Tomorrow is my B-I-L’s birthday, so I took him and sis out for sushi.
Penny hasn’t been using the porch during all this rain and wind. Blue doesn’t like it much either!

October 31, 2021Redeeming the Season
He made the moon to mark the seasons. Psalm 104:19
Leisa wanted a way to redeem the season. So many of the autumn decorations she saw seemed to celebrate death, sometimes in gruesome and macabre ways.
Determined to counter the darkness in some small way, Leisa began to write things she was grateful for with a permanent marker on a large pumpkin. “Sunshine” was the first item. Soon visitors were adding to her list. Some entries were whimsical: “doodling,” for instance. Others were practical: “a warm house”; “a working car.” Still others were poignant, like the name of a departed loved one. A chain of gratitude began to wind its way around the pumpkin.
Psalm 104 offers a litany of praise to God for things we easily overlook. “[God] makes springs pour water into the ravines,” sang the poet (v. 10). “He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate” (v. 14). Even the night is seen as good and fitting. “You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl” (v. 20). But then, “The sun rises . . . . People go out to their work, to their labor until evening” (vv. 22–23). For all these things, the psalmist concluded, “I will sing praise to my God as long as I live” (v. 33).
In a world that doesn’t know how to deal with death, even the smallest offering of praise to our Creator can become a shining contrast of hope. — Tim Gustafson
How do you and your friends deal with the idea of death? What are some ways you might make the world curious about the hope you have in Jesus?
Thank You, Father, for the multiple good things You’ve placed on this earth. Make my life a grateful offering of praise to You.

Hey there, Kathy.
I understand your dislike of high winds. It must be in town because the trees aren’t moving at the airport. There was a huge rainbow across the northern sky a few minutes ago. So tall we could only see the two ends. The rest arched up out of the cam frame. I’ve never seen one that huge before. Wow!
It was a nasty day here. Cold, breezy, dreary, and wet. When it wasn’t raining hard, fog shrouded the museum.
It was a good, busy day at the museum today but didn’t totally wear any of us out. Everyone who works there was on hand today and that helped a lot. Da tootsies aren’t too tired but they’re sore. I had to wear SHOES and SOCKS because it was too cold to wear my comfy flip flops. Da tootsies don’t like shoes. LOL

Knowing it was cold outside must have made it hard to get up from the comfy, warm lounger. I hope the wind wasn’t howling at the time, too, to make it even more uncomfortable out there. BRRRRRRR
Dang! You duck numbers have almost doubled! LOL Yep, they’ve marked the roof!
