Anyone who says (perhaps not literally) that they will not vote again is either a pessimist or a realist. In either case, that person should be reasoned with, not insulted. And that’s especially true if that person is obviously no troll (been on FR for many years).

OK. So let me get this straight, those who refuse to participate in a sham political system are cowards? That’s an interesting point of view. I don’t share it though. I view it much the opposite, although I find myself less and less willing to call people names. I like to think that most voters are just misguided. They don’t realize that the point of voting isn’t to pick political leadership. No, The point of voting is to keep the population under control. And giving the devils their due, it’s a pretty effective strategy.
You do have a good point, though. A lot of nonvoters are real debbie downers. Which is a shame as I’ve found that the apolitical life is a much happier one. FRegards, RD
