“These events would have been impossible without human-caused climate change,” U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said.
In the real world, all of these events are normal, documented, natural variation of the weather and have nothing do with the extremely trivial amount of CO2 contributed by human activity.
[[extremely trivial amount of CO2 contributed by human activity.]]
The mount of atmosphere with Man-produced CO2 equals just 0.00136% roughly- (all greenhouse gases from all sources is 0.04% roughly- but man’s CO2 production of CO2 alone is just 0.00136%)
0.00136% is roughly equivalent to 4 five gallon pails of water dumped into an Olympic sized pool
Let’s say the whole pool is 100 degrees. If we pour 4 five gallon pails of 116 degree water into the 100 degree pool- there is no ‘catastrophic warming’ going on in the pool-
Even IF we do that each year- the pool will always equalize back to 100 degrees because there is not enough 116 degree water to change the pool temp- it reaches equilibrium very quickly because the overwhelming 100 degree volume cools off the 116 small volume very quickly-
If we dump a couple 1000 5 gallon pails of 116 degree water in ,then yeah, we’ll see a change- but we will never ever reach the necessary amount to do that even if we multiplied the amount of CO2 we produce every year by a staggering amount-
