Approximately 12,000 Air Force personnel have reportedly refused orders to be vaccinated against the Chinese coronavirus despite the Pentagon’s mandate.
Officials said it was too late for them to take it by the Tuesday deadline which posed a test for leaders whose August directive apparently sparked defiance in one segment of the force, according to the Washington Post.
The Thursday report continued:
The vast majority of active-duty airmen, 96.4%, are at least partially vaccinated, according to data from the Air Force. But officials have warned that, barring an approved medical or religious exemption, those who defy lawful orders to be fully immunized are subject to punishment, including possible dismissal from the service or they could be charged in the military justice system.
The challenge now confronting Air Force leaders – how to address potential large-scale dissent in the face of a top health priority that has been deeply politicized – is a bellwether for the dilemma that’s in store across the military’s other services, which have staggered compliance deadlines ranging from the end of November to the middle of next summer and in some cases have experienced far greater resistance to President Joe Biden’s mandate.

We are not at war, so this is an opportune culling of personnel based on their ability to bend with the political winds. Our daughter is seeing a young Army officer who is likely to get his heave ho around Christmas.

They have identified who is a conformist and who is a rebel. The rebels will be kicked out, leaving only conformists who will be happy to do whatever the commander in chief tells them to do.

My Grandson a Staff Sgt in the Air Force told me that if they did not take the jab, it was to be an Honorable. However the Pentagon could downgrade it to either a General or a Dishonorable at within 6 months.
He took the jab due to his commitment to his pilots.
He told me that pilot & F35 were more important than anything else.
And just who will benefit from this? Just in time for China to invade its neighbor.

Well Dibaso’s deadline passed and so fire stations shut down as police, firefighters who are not vaccinated just took sick leaves.....so if enough military continue to object perhaps this administration will change it’s tune???
I don't think there are any provisions in the law allowing a downgrade of a duly issued honorable discharge. It would require a recall to active duty and a court-martial action to downgrade.
Do hope they stand their ground. Let the transgendered vaccinated group run the Air Force.
Most of the parents are the morons who got the jab in the first place.
They can't do that. Those who are separated will receive a General Discharge under Honorable Conditions. If there are violations beyond "disobeying a lawful order", they could receive worse. It is possible to later UPGRADE the discharge from General to Honorable in order to restore GI Bill education benefits.
Many of these 12,000 airmen are approved for or have requested separation or retirement. Those separating by April 2022 are exempt from the vaccine mandate.

As a former Air Force Staff Sgt. I I think nothing is as important as my health. If I were in his position I would be seriously thinking of what would occur once I departed the Air Force because while your in your an expendable piece of equipment.
Once you say good by to the Air Force they say Good by to you forever.
They really don’t care if you die from a vaccine they give you 5 to 10 years down the road. They only care about what’s happening at the present time.
This will be the final straw for the military. Senior people in the enlisted ranks will be getting out as soon as they can, even the vaccinated. Many will leave as soon as they get their twenty. This will cause staggered problems, but soon it will be obvious. These people will be hard to replace. Junior officers will probably get the picture too. Afghanistan told them what they needed to know. The number thirteen is engraved in their minds.
