If they want it clean, why don’t they just give them a fatal dose of Fentanyl?
But he’s still dead now, right?
The old ways are best.
This therapeutic execution theater is disgusting. I have said, many times, I would never use my skills as a doctor to execute a restrained prisoner, but I would join a firing squad or pull the lever on a trap door in a heartbeat.
Execution is not a medical procedure. It is the righteous vengeance of an outraged society, and the way it is conducted tells a story, as it should.
Firing squads and hanging never had such problems.
Convulsions etc are normal when you kill by lethal injection. No big deal.
I feel not at all horrible about that pilgrim. Shame, not really.
The Death Penalty works. Those people never commit another crime.
However, the “humane” methods that are used are not humane. If you want a humane method, you punch a hole through the brain stem and medulla oblongata. A machine to do that would be far easier, far simpler, and far less likely to cause mistakes.
Maybe they should contact Alec Baldwin?
Guillotine
Did he die? Then it wasn’t a botch.
“Crucifixion? Good!”
I’ll bet his death was more pleasant than his victim’s.
“Why don’t they hire a Vet-Tech. I.V. In vein, propofol puts them out then potassium stops the heart. If you want to be fancy add a muscle relaxant. Protocol is two I.V.s verified to be in the vein.”
Freon is an analog of halothane an anesthetic gas. It as halothane is deadly at high concentrations and breathing such for a few minutes.
Put them in an airtight small room, and open the valve. They quickly go to sleep and then painlessly die of respiratory depression and or fatal heart arrhythmia. Turn on exhaust fans and open the room. The criminal will be dead. Cheap easy and efficient.
# I don’t really care if any male or female prisoner being executed experiences this type of thing while being executed.
I really don’t care either. However, I don’t want weak-kneed liberals to have any excuse to screw up with victims receiving some justice.
What we should be using for executions is nitrogen. It works really simply. You wheel someone into an airtight room. Pump it to about 95% nitrogen, and wait 15 minutes. The condemned won’t even know he’s dead because nitrogen does not trigger a suffocation response. He’ll simply show up for his eternal reward, and the rest of us can go on about our lives.
Once the time has elapsed, you simply pump the nitrogen out of an exhaust to the atmosphere, and pump in normal air. There are no poisons or other crap to dispose of as was the case back when they used cyanide or other poisons.
All you need is a readily visible O2 meter in the room, and it’s all good to go for those disposing of the condemned.
The fact that we aren’t doing this, at this late date indicates that people are still trying to throw a monkey wrench into the entire system. This is true of some alleged ‘supporters’ of the death penalty as well.
I just want to remove the controversy, and get on with it.
Doesn't bother me at all. I would prefer to see them twitching in a public hanging. I don't think suffering is necessarily a bad thing for murderers being executed.
True.
Hanging is a close second, but I like the firing squad. UT used to do it, I think the intended prisoner had the choice between firing squad and...
There is plenty of Fentanyl around...
Only answer—Firing Squads.
Only answer—Firing Squads.
