The Biden administration is in talks to offer immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person in compensation, according to people familiar with the matter, as several agencies work to resolve lawsuits filed on behalf of parents and children who say the government subjected them to lasting psychological trauma.

The trial balloon for the thus far elusive, 'reparations' that have been sought for many years now.
Just claim that one has experienced "trauma" by virtue of the fact that something bad may have happened to an ancestor 200 years prior, and you qualify for a payment from the taxpayers.
How are they going to differentiate those who have no American ancestry dating back to the mid 1800's (like barry hussein obama) to those who actually have ancestry which includes former slaves?

3. We get to pay taxes on our worldwide income, but these people don’t - they’re not US citizens nor are they permanent residents. They can put their (free, taxpayer-funded money into the stock market and make a ton, tax free - but we can’t.

Imagine U.S. citizens, a family of 4, breaking into Mexico.. Then being separated for while so Mexico could sort out what to do with the law-breakers. Then imagine Mexico deciding the U.S. citizens they fed, clothed and provided everything for were actually victims who were put under undo stress. Then imagine Mexico coming up with the idea to pay each and every one of them $450,000.00 for their trouble.
