Who knows? Not that I truly understand the question.
To my mind, it remains an apples-to-apples comparison, since the "deaths involving COVID" designation is that which is put on individual death certificates by doctors, hospitals, and other individual health care entities throughout the country and then reported as such to the NCHS. However those myriad designations were being made in September 2020, they were still being made in September 2021.
Given this, the question remains: why are there more deaths involving COVID now, when millions of people in the U.S. have been vaccinated, compared to this same time a year ago, when no one had been vaccinated? Many more deaths, to my eye. I don't myself know the answer to that question, but I think it fair to pose it.
that “presumed” is an assumption, with nothing to back it up, and with a lot of room for padding.
Padding helps promote the panic.
So, without the “presumed”, and only the proven cases, the fatality rate and percentage drops.
Then the data needs to have added to it the information on the shots status of the people- then you know the effect the shots have had on the pandemic.
