That I can't answer. I guess time will tell. The company didn't say they would be canned. It just said they would face potential consequence including possibly termination. My guess is that nobody is going to quit or retire early and instead just wait and see. They are calling the company's bluff. When the deadline hits they will still work there and then we'll see what the company does.
“Potential consequence” is more vague than what Raytheon did; they sent out a message telling people to disclose their shots status and any “decline to disclose”ers would be treated as having given their resignation.
One of my kids works for a large government contractor.
He put in a religious exemption claim and has gotten preliminary approval.
A lot of those people cannot be replaced especially if they are ones with high security clearances that can a long time to get.

Raytheon has no standing ref cancelled contracts. Contracts can be sole source if need be and standard terms and conditions apply, not going to be delayed excessively and tooling and manufacturing owned by USG.
If your experience in major weapons programs and contracting processing differ, that would be interesting to hear.
