There is a sliver of sanity remaining in our government. Take what we can get.

The good senator is either not communist enough or he’s holding out for some kind of payday.

These senators don’t want a repeat of Harry Reid. They saw what it did last time and if they implement this and lose the senate in 22, there will be hell to pay in the rat caucus.

Depending on the outcome of the 2022 elections that might be a good strategy.

The more these leftists find themselves in disfavor of the American majority, the more they find themselves in defense of the congressional minority (i.e. filibuster)

Some of them remember what happened when other rules were changed by the Democrats, and what that entailed when the Republicans got back in charge. (aka Reid rule)

"complicating Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's drive to pass voting rights"

What the heck? Could someone please show me a citizen who is denied his right to vote? Could they produce one person?

Someone missing the deadline for registration doesn't count. And someone not proving his identity doesn't count. Registration and proof of identity are there to ensure election integrity, and NOT to deny someone the right to vote.

These Democrats can read the tea leaves, they can’t drudge up enough fake votes to stave off the looming wipe out next November.

Biased reporting much?
...that has enabled the Republican minority to block key portions of President Joe Biden's agenda

Why that mean old minority! As if the Dems didn't use the filibuster to block key portions of every Republican agenda item the past 100 years.

Earlier this year, Angus King was calling for abolishing the filibuster, so he sure changed his tune.

Item no. 1 on the Republican agenda after takeover of the Senate should be to suspend the filibuster for 1 month and 1 month only, just to show Chuckie how it would feel.
