He did. Texas has had a couple thousand on the border for years, and he just added another 4-5000 of us to the border. TMD (TX military department) only has about 18M people total, and something like 4000 are already on the stupid CoViD orders. Another couple thousand are full time / admin staff that can't be deployed. That doesn't leave many more to add, OR sufficient forces to rotate people on and off. Some guys I know down there had six-month deployments get extended to ten or twelve months already. There's not much more we can do without assistance from other States or FedGov doing their Constitutionally required responsibilities.
