She used to be the Thurston county (think Olympia, Washington State’s capitol) assessor before she became secretary of state. I worked with her some there.

She is definitely a “Bush republican.” But she may also be a “good government” type who won’t countenance the watering down of election laws, and understands its a real bad idea for a substantial portion of this country to lose faith in election integrity.

So she is probably about as good as could be hoped for coming from this administration.

In 2017, Kim Wyman let out bids to “UPDATE” the election system with a new software system. The purpose was to give ‘voter access’ to the under-served, under-privileged (homeless), and better server “people of color”. What nonsense. Who uses this logic other than pure racists? Real people really don’t care anymore…accept the racists. The team sent in a local podcast person who asked Kim about the Dept. of Licensing. She told him that she was considering suing the DOL for issuing untraceable licenses. She has not initiated any action, because she is part of the whole scheme…not the creator…just part of it.

She has some election audit experience. Now whether she actually did a forensic audit or not, don't know. Let's hope she learns from the AZ audit and actually does some good.

• May 1998 - Primary election at the polls. Forty-one percent of registered voters in Oregon are permanent absentee voters. Overall, the state posts a record low turnout at 35 percent. Absentee voter turnout was 53 percent, compared to a turnout at the polls of 22 percent.
