The Seles stabber, Günter Parche, was some Steffi Graf consumed fan, who felt Graf was unfairly beaten by Seles. For about a year, this was on his mind....so when the national tennis body put Seles at number one (ahead of Graf), this guy went nuts and tried to kill Seles. Serious mental issues but the court could only bring itself to give him a two-year sentence, and I think he was out in 6-to-8 months.
On the Somali guy...he’s been in Germany since 2015, and lived most of the time in homeless shelters (zero integration that I know of). Even other non-Germans who came into contract with him...noted that he was not competent.
His application for asylum? That was denied about a year after his arrival. No one in the immigrant office made that much of an effort to clear the guy for deportation. Even if they talk now of deportation....they’d have to go and convince Somalia to accept the guy. Questionable if they’d accept the nutcase back.
Parche got a free pass because he “helped” a German tennis player. You think if Parche was a Seles fan and he had stabbed Graf, he would have been out in 6 to 8 months? He’d still be institutionalized to this day.
