All those bad things are indeed happening - because there is a predatory side to human nature - there is always an element among us which seeks power and control - they seek to take advantage and tyrannize.

Bringing religious prophesy into it just makes it easier for our enemies to marginalize and discredit us as nutcases.

The best and most reliable tool we have fo defend the scripture is scripture. Consider that God designed and created the universe and then he wrote a book. What a book it is. The Bible is a big enough book to be self certifying. Don’t look at it with low expectations.
