Tennessee state Sen. Brian Kelsey (R) was indicted on Monday in connection to an alleged campaign finance scheme that sought to funnel money into his 2016 campaign for U.S. Congress.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) alleges that Kelsey, 43, along with Nashville social club owner Joshua Smith, 44, conspired to illegally transfer “soft money” — which refers to contributions that are made to political parties and political action committees, and thus have fewer limits — from Kelsey’s Tennessee state Senate campaign committee to his federal campaign committee.

Didn’t HRC do this same thing in 2016? As I recall, she would fundraise for the state parties in return for the state parties kicking up 90% to the DNC in order to circumvent the maximum donation limits. They would actually encourage big donors to write one big check, the maximum for individual donations plus the maximum for donation to each state party. They got some heat for not accounting for it and not actually distributing the money to the state parties first. Maybe this isn’t exactly the same but quite similar sounding.
Notice that party affiliation is in the first sentence because he’s a Republican.
If he is as a democRAT it would be in the last sentence if mentioned at all
Let’s face facts, every democrat and the assistant democrats like Lizzy Cheney do this all the time.
Who does he think he is? George Soros?
Kelsey is a RINO who has blocked a lot of constitutional legislation over the years. No one who knows him will be overly surprised.
That said, the double standard is rather blatant when one considers the known money laundering by the Dems.
