The problem with Alec Baldwin is he is a bully. How many rules of basic gun safety were violated? Any private in the US Army has better ability to manage a gun than Baldwin. Baldwin lectures us, yet we are far more proficient at common sense than Baldwin ? Baldwin deserves ridicule not for shooting someone, but for his hubris.
Alec Baldwin, like all leftwing communists, is above the laws & rules.
He can do anything he wants...even kill someone and get away with it.
The bigger issue is how to deal with bullies. Being “nice” does not work - it just emboldens them. Acting like them - they call you names and you call them names back, seems useless. Intelligent, productive people have better things to do than waste their time and energy on that. You are kind of giving the bully the recognition he craves. I think we need to somehow play a different game than them, which is different than both playing “nice” or forever reacting to them.
