Daniel Andrews has warned that Victorians may risk losing their fully-vaccinated privileges if they do not get a third jab, as the state recorded a further increase in the number of Covid cases requiring hospital treatment.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, the premier said getting a third dose would be required for residents to ensure 'the maintenance of your vaccination status'.
Mr Andrews said he will encourage residents to get the third dose if the booster is approved by the medical regulator for distribution to the general public, with a decision by regulators expected on Monday.
If the booster is approved, the third dose could be available to the public as early as next week.
Mr Andrews said the third booster shot would be administered six months after the date of the second jab.
'A month before your six months is up, then you will get a message and your vaccination certificate, the thing that gets you the green tick, you'll be prompted to go and book a time to go and have your booster shot,' Mr Andrews said.
'There may be state clinics in that or it might be all done through GPs and pharmacies, that hasn't been worked through yet. We're happy to play our part, though. So it'll be about the maintenance of your vaccination status.'

Fundamentally there appears to be no post-covid, post-vaccine era in Australia. They now have a permanent social credit score system allowing "going outside privileges" to good little servants who are nevertheless only ever one missed vax appointment or rule-change away from becoming unvaxxed and having their ability to work and eat cut off.
And for each variant after another no doubt they will lose privileges if they don’t keep repeating this cycle until VAERS is bursting at the seams.

Just a guess, but I imagine they’ll eventually decide just to barcode the person. Time will tell.

Let's take a look at this key piece of legislation the federal government wants to push through. It's called the Biosecurity Amendment (Enhanced Risk Management) Bill 2021, which relates to broadening the scope of the current Biosecurity Act 2015. They intend to include the following words in the act; "biosecurity enforcement orders upon "classes of individuals", specifically requiring them to wear specified clothing or equipment, to be relocated and detained, for an indefinite time and to provide body samples to the World Health Organization." "Classes of individuals" could mean the unvaccinated or those without an up to date vaccine passport. "Wear specific clothing or equipment" could refer to masks, tracking devices or even impl ants. "Relocated and detained" maybe to quarantine camps. "Indefinite time" are they serious!!? "Body samples to the World Health Organisation" maybe they will provide DNA samples to the pharmaceutical sponsored WHO.
