I have yet to discover a mayonnaise without soybean oil, that doesn’t taste completely disgusting.

Yes I’ve tried homemade. Same result. :(

Try Sir Kensington brand mayonnaise, made with avocado oil. It is a bit pricey, but it is good.

(ignore the outrageous price at link; I get it for under $5 at the discount stores and locally even at Whole Foods - at which I do NOT shop - the price is about $8 for a 16oz jar)

Must be the cook. I make my own mayo (and sometimes ketchup). My mayo comes out good but if you use cider vinegar...its weird. The type of vinegar you use makes a big difference. I try to use an oil containing as little flavor as possible. I love olive oil but not in everything.
