Hehe...
If I got another instrument I don’t know where I’d put it, I already have an electronic keyboard I rarely use and a 70’s Wurlitzer electric piano I’m about to put on the market. 5 or 6 guitars, 2 xylophones, a flute, couple of saxes one in need of major repair, amps, PA mixer, stomp boxes...strangely enough, I don’t own a harmonica...Fender Super Reverb about to go on the market too, not going to lug that 90 lb monstrosity around any more. I have a 35 lb Blues Jr that works great.
Anyway, I kept the tv, just wired in a dvd player and use it for movies these days. Most nights I’ll pop in a movie after dinner, sometimes a double shot of southern comfort, then for 2 months or so without. Just finished the second Batman series, (Christian Bale) the last 3 Mission Impossible, the Tom Selleck made for TV “Jesse Stone” movies, have 5 of those, now getting into the Clint Eastwood stuff, Absolute Power last night. Not sure what next...Die Hard maybe...Matrix...Ice Age...Dirty Harry...Death Wish...
Decisions, decisions...
I’ve pared down my vast collection (which took up an entire 2000 sq ft house in Florida) to these few gems:
1. A Les Paul Studio(2009 ex-robot...I stripped the guts out)
2. Fender Mustang Amp
3. a Dean Accoustic-Electric
4. a beat-up-but-beloved Schechter Diamond Series Two-Octave Bass (my AXE)
5. Fender Rumble 25 Bass Amp
6. Casio Previa Electric Piano
And that’s IT. It may seem like a lot to normal people, but I do music for a living, so it’s really not much.
This conversation has inspired a thread that I will post today. Are you on the “Guitar/Bass/Ping List? Would you like to be?
