A Russian acquaintance of mine said we were actually in worse shape. As he put it, even Pravda was allowed to criticize the Politburo once in awhile. Our media is jut like the Soviets, Pravda (Truth) and Izvestia (The News). No truth to the news, and no news in the truth.
