And the judgement calls made by officials state and township wide. I got the elections commission's state issued form to request a MI ballot. It was horribly confusing, with rules made up as time went by. Filled it out meticulously, but the dang copier was on the fritz, so no copy (color me red). Sent it in and it was recorded as received on Oct. 9th. Thereafter, Nothing right up to election day - not accepted or rejected. I never brought it up and just went in to vote as usual on election day, and was able to. And my sister was called down to city hall to sign her absentee ballot, which she neglected to do. Locals were just making up rules.
