Tester “won” his seat initially when GOP Senator Conrad Burns was set up on phony criminal charges way back in 2006, but has faced subpar GOP opponents since. Manchin rode into the Senate shortly after Robert Byrd’s death when the state hadn’t fully gone GOP, and barely won reelection in 2018. I doubt either will win again in 2024.
