I was in Del Rio last week and the Texas Department of Public Safety has a significant number of troopers in the town and along the border. There are Texas guard troops on both sides of the bridge on the US side, especially near the mission. I couldn’t have felt safer at the Ramada Inn where every other vehicle in the parking lot was a DPS trooper’s.
I grew up in Del Rio and it sickens me to see this happening.
